In Expedo, Positions are used to define the employment conditions and attributes of each specific role in your workforce, so that when you hire, onboard, transfer or train workers, you can ensure that the right worker is employed in each role.
You'll add positions during your initial setup, and you can add new positions at any time after Go-Live as required. Adding well-defined positions and requirements upfront allows you to start automating compliance activities as soon as you start using Expedo, for both existing and onboarding workers.

For each position, you can define details including activities and checks that a worker assigned to this position must complete.
|Once these attributes are defined, Expedo will automate new and existing worker compliance checks based on your desired requirements.|
When you set up a position, you define:
|Basic Position Details||Such as the name of the position and a brief description.|
|Requirements||The skills that a worker in the role should have, along with the responsibilities they will have.|
|Employment conditions||The contract, and if applicable, the award used to employ a worker in this role.|
|Credentials||Licences and other official accreditations that a worker much/should have to be employed in this position.|
|Documents||Relevant documents and policies that a worker in this position must/should read, acknowledge and/or sign.|
|Inductions and Training||Training activities that a worker in this role must complete during onboarding or once they have started in their new role.|
|Worker Questions||Company-specific questions that a worker must answer when onboarding to this position.|
|Onboarding Requirements||Additional information and checks that a worker in this role must complete during onboarding.|
|Specify if workers employed in this position must provide evidence of their eligibility to work in the specified location, and whether a Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) check will be completed for workers in this role.|
Department and Site
|Define where this position is located within your organisation structure.|
|Any other position-specific documents that you require a worker onboarding to this position to read and acknowledge.|
